Tada!

So here it is, the long awaited amazing blog post! Looking at things, this may in fact be the last blog post of the year. I know that you are excited! First off, since I shall not be posting tomorrow here is a video greeting for all of you.

Now that we have that out of the way we can discuss my week of leave. First off I ended up with about an hour of sleep before I left, so I was quite tired driving down to the airport. There were several transfers and all, but in the end it worked out and I got home. I ended up spending time in Las Vegas, where I did win money. I put a dollar into a slot machine and let it spin a few times (Yes, there are slot machines in the airport). I hit strawberries and saw I had more credits then when I started. So I cashed out and was a dime ahead of where I started. Take that Vegas! But then there was a delay and I spent a bit longer in Vegas so I got home late.

While home there was running from one house to another, Stella and I made up some authentic New Mexican foods for dinner one night and had Green Chili Wine. Yup, you read that currently. It was different, not bad, but different. Had Waligia ( I know that is probably spelled wrong). And of course there was Christmas. And again I would like to thank everyone for the gifts and the cards. I hope that you also enjoyed what you received and had a grand holiday.

Oh, then of course there was Christmas eve, I spent a chunk of it in the emergency room cause my knee went out the night before. My knee still hurts, I will have to get it looked at again. I recommend that you try to not go to the emergency room on Christmas eve, there are better things to do, like wrap gifts.

The day after Christmas I headed up to Jersey for visiting of relatives and Philly. Stella and I went up and saw Babci. Then we headed into Philly for sight seeing and a cheese steak. Both were accomplished, which brings us to our first picture. Ahh, the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Yes, that is the Liberty Bell's new home. I realize that to some of you it may not be new, but others haven't seen this home. So now you can see how it is set up. I like the fact they have the big window there so you can see Independence Hall. We were going to go to Jim's but there was a line out the door and around the corner so we stopped at another place and had our cheese steaks and then we did our sight seeing. We also browsed through the Independence visitor center, but it was getting late and we had to head back. We went and saw the other relatives and hung out with them for a while and then crashed for the night. The next morning we got out diner breakfast picked up kielbasa and hoagies and headed back home. But that took a while cause of traffic and such, but I did get to see national treasure.

Other then that I managed to go ice skating, go to a meeting with the caterer and such. Spent time with various family members, got to play with my nephew.

See, ice skating, I told you I could skate.

So on my plane ride home I was sitting next to this woman who talked for a while. She ended up downing 3 things of wine in the process and decided that I was 28 either Italian or Greek and kept trying to buy me a drink, even after I told her I am engaged. So I ended up just reading my book so she wouldn't talk to me anymore. It was odd. But in Dallas I was walking and a friend of mine spotted me, so we got to talk and hang out. We were on the same flight and got back and such.

I made it back to my apartment safely and ended up passing out. Today I ran some errands, got some pictures hung up. By the way everything made it safely back to my apartment undamaged. So I am happy about that. Today I got a futon cause there was another going out of business sale. Also I set up the little fridge as the beer fridge. As I had beer left from the last get together, cause people brought it over and left it here. So my beer fridge is stocked. And I went to the commissary to stock up a bit. All in all its been good. Now some more photos.

My living room. Complete with new futon and new picture of Stella. Yes, I know that the Simpson Movie posters will have to move at some point, but not till May or maybe March.

I realize that you can't really see the picture I got for Christmas. This is just so you know where it lives, if you have not yet gotten to see the set up, stop by.

Amazing, isn't it. A beer fridge! I know there is soda in there too, but it seemed like a good place so I have a range of refreshments. And yes, by slinky lives on top of the beer fridge. I'm cool like that.

So finally Happy New Years to all. I hope that 2008 works out well for you. And I will post again in the new year.

I'm Home

Well good news to all you blog fans. I have returned home safe and sound. Plus all of my Christmas gifts have made it home safely as well. I have more pictures hung about the house now. I still need to put some away, but I would like to say thank you again for the gifts, the cards, being welcomed to stay at houses and such.

So I have pulled off a lot in the past week, here are some highlights:
-Won money in Vegas
-Got to see the family for Christmas
-Had a cheese steak in Philly
-Went to a meeting with the caterer
-Went ice skating
-Spent a chunk of Christmas eve in the emergency room
-Visited relatives in Jersey
-Got hit on on a plane
-Looked like a 28 year old Italian or Greek
-Found out my desktop is dying/dead
-Meet up with a friend at the airport
-Made it home safe

All in all it was good. I have some pictures and such to post, and there will be a real post with more details. But as it stands now, I must run about on more errands. But I thought I would do a quick post.

Viva Las Vegas!

So I'm sitting here at the Vegas International Airport. My flight is delayed hence the airport update.

-I won money in Vegas
-I got an overweight bag checked without paying the overweight bag fee
-I'm tired cause I didn't sleep last night
-My computer battery is dying
-More updates to come later.

I will point out that I update my blog from various exciting locations!

Oh, Thank you all

So I have gotten a whole mess of Christmas cards from people and would like to say thank you to everyone that sent me one. Especially Uncle Tony, he sent me cookies.

Well, it seems that it is approaching time to head out to my last advent dinner party this year. I shall have a grand time and hope you all do the same too.

One final thought before I leave. The next storm is suppose to roll through New Mexico on Christmas day. They are forecasting snow. Thats right, it looked like it would snow up in Albuquerque on Christmas day. Desert... White Christmas.... And for all of you who may think that you have seen a lot of snow this year, up in Taos (Still in New Mexico) they have a 60 + inch base of snow at their ski resorts. There was a ski resort just over the border in Colorado, with a 115 inch base.

This is my computer, there are many like it, but this one is mine

So my bags are packed, and I'm ready to go.

I think I managed to pack everything, gifts, some clothes, even some nice clothing for mass. I even have a few surprizes hidden in there. So haha! But anyhow,

I got off work early today, cause nothing was going on. So I was able to get my oil changed and such. Then I packed and I'm working on cleaning up my apt so it will be good while I'm gone. Then tonight is our last advent dinner. I need to whip up a veggie tray, but I should already have the stuff, so I'm good. Then I will get home and need to go to sleep, I must get up early tomorrow as there is much traveling to be done. I will be having lunch in Vegas, which will be my first time in Vegas, at least Las Vegas NV. I've been to Las Vegas, NM. It won't really be a trip to Vegas, as I'll just be in the airport. But fear not, from the looks of things I'll be returning to Vegas in late march for a conference.

I'm all excited about getting to go home and all. I miss my Stella.

And a quick follow up

Please note the awesomeness of my living room. Check out my cool panoramic WVU picture. Also, you can note the graduation pictures of a certain amazing redhead whom I happen to know.

When you look this good, you don't have to know anything

Luckily I know lots of stuffs.

Since I know that you are all dying to hear from me, I thought that I would post again. As it currently stands I have about 6 days till I'm home. Or at least in Virginia. It would seem I shall be quite busy and such on this trip home, what with visiting peoples and all. But I am fairly confident that most of you will in fact get a chance to see me, and should you be very lucky, even a chance to talk to me. I know that you are all excited.

Now then, this past weekend. Well Friday was an RDO which was nice cause I was gonna go Christmas shopping, but the alternator on my truck died, so mostly I dealt with that. Luckily my truck is running and I shall pick it up tomorrow. But I was able to order my sword which is really cool. Saturday I did get to do Christmas shopping and as of tonight I feel that I am nearly done with the shopping, so hooray for that. Sunday I cleaned and cleaned. So now the apartment is all nice and clean.

And today I found that my picture was ready to be picked up, it is currently on my wall and looks amazing. However I had to go to get more blood work done. And a shot, and then more blood work, so I feel a little like a pin cushion today. Tomorrow is more running after work to take care of vehicle situations.

I am hoping that I will be able to get in bed and read some tonight. Reading is good for you and it is relaxing. So I recommend that all of you go read a book. And if you can't read, then how are you reading this? Hmm... perplexing, ain't it?

I suppose there shall be more posting later. Until then, I wish you a Merry Advent.

Just a quick note. I need gift ideas for Skip, Mark and Mr. O. Any thoughts will be helpful. Thank you

A Mad Russian's Christmas

Welcome back merry Blogfans! So I realize that it would seem December is a slow month for the blogging. As it stands I have 7, well this should be my 8th post. The Skip, even with all of her polls and such, seems to only have 5 posts, where as the Boy is at 6. I can understand, as this seems to be a busy time for peoples and such. But to bring some cheer to your blog reading I shall be including pictures!

Like this one here. It is a nice view of the mountains by town here. This was the night of the Christmas Parade. I think it looks cool with the clouds and such in the background. But then again that is just me. Now, just so you all know, it seems that the winter is the wet season. We have been getting rained on and they keep saying that it might be snowing on us. Sierra Blanca is snow capped. I will be getting a picture of it at some point, so stand by for that. And as far as cold, its about 8 in the morning and it is 27 out. Today's low is 21. So it does get cold here, just mostly at night. Plus it gets windy. Really windy. There aren't a whole lot of trees out here, so there is not a whole lot to stop the wind. And while we are having some desert pictures, take a gander at these.

Hooray for more pictures. And before you ask, sure, that green blob there, an alien. Call up the Blue Book people.... alert the media. All that standard stuff. Get the History channel on it so they can do a show on it. So yes, this is just more pictures of the area for you all to enjoy.

Well, I have some Christmas shopping to get done as well as some cleaning and plenty of other errands that I should get to today. So I would suppose that I shouldn't sit here all day. But fear not, I shall post again. And in a week I'll be back home. And in the between time, I shall kick back and relax a bit. So ta ta for now.

Its Christmas at Ground Zero

Hello again festive blog watchers. I hope everyone is enjoying their Holiday Season. Tomorrow the festivities will really be kicking off. Tomorrow is the Squadron Christmas Party. So hooray for that, then we have our week 3 Advent Dinner. Sunday I'm headed to another Christmas party. I am not however going to the Group Christmas party, either the children's or the regular. It just doesn't seem worth it this year.

I've hung up some more pictures and such. I shall need to post pictures again, but I think I shall do it after I see about this meteor shower on thursday. I recommend you all go out and try to view it.

And as a final thought before I head to the kitchen, changing a car battery in a walmart parking lot after work in uniform is not fun.

I'm dreamin' tonight of a place I love
Even more then I usually do
And although I know it's a long road back
I promise you

I'll be home for Christmas
You can count on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents under the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light beams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams

Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light beams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
If only in my dreams

So it won't just be in my dreams. My leave was approved, I did my departure briefing. I have my tickets. So I get to come home.

Leggo My Eggo!

Merry Blog fans, I bear tidings of great news! I have waffles!

I'm sure that you are all quite happy to hear this amazing development. So I am enjoying my wafflely goodness for breakfast while I post so you can all be updated on what is going on.

So I learned a lesson at the parade last night. As it turns out you don't have to be politically correct in other languages. While most all of the signs in the parade said Happy Holidays, all of the Spanish and German said Merry Christmas, in their respective languages. Yes, being as how we have Germans here there was German in the parade. Also there was a Rodeo Queen. Overall it was a good time.

I got more shelves up and was able to put stuff on them, so my bedroom is looking more and more organized. So hooray for that. I believe that I have other errands to run today and such. You should all be proud of me. I went to the commissary a few days back and got all of my stuff to fit in my cloth bags. And one of my errands is a recycle center run.

And I will leave you with a thought.... The quantum ducks go quark quark quark.

Ahoy!

Hello everyone one. So it is still December and all. I am tired, I have been invited to many events and parties and such. Its like I'm popular. Anyhow, last night was video game night. It was a fun time. As for today we went to the Christmas parade in town. It was pretty cool, it had both the Grinch and bagpipers.

Once again, this is a short post, a quick update if you will. But I have been up to many things and haven't had much time to be posting all the time. I shall post again later.

Happy St. Nick Day

So I know that I haven't been posting much. However I have found myself to be rather busy and all. As it stands we came across passes to see free movies, and so I saw Beowolf and Fred Claus for free this week. Plus I have been invited over to a few dinners and such. Then there was the Saturday night movie watching and such. So over all I have stayed quite busy. But I have returned to inform the loyal blog fans of what is going on.

First off I have managed to get some more unpacking done. It is happening slowly, but it is happening. I am down to some bedroom boxes, but for those I need to put up some shelves in the bedroom. I am hoping to take care of the shelves this weekend. Also I have some boxes in the office, but those it is looking like I will have to sort through. So it might take me a while to get through all of them.

I do have things hung up on the walls. I got my simpsons movie posters up, and they look really cool. So thanks to Mark for hooking that up for me. Please feel free to visit if you would like to see them. Also I have my WVU clock, diploma and commission hung up in the office. I need to get some other pictures printed up and then I intend to hang them in here as well. The cork flag is up. Also my CCCP hockey jersey is framed and hanging up, also my sword is hanging up. And some other stuff. So it is getting to be like a real home. Oh, and my panoramic WVU stadium poster is getting framed and all so it will look really cool.

I think that I am not wearing my mess dress to the wedding. I will instead be wearing the super secret Air Force Formal Uniform! Yes, I realize that most likely none of you know it exists. And what is really fun is that you can probably do all the searching you wish for on google and not find it. In fact, you could open up AFI 36-2903 and do a search for it and still not find it. But it is in there, you have to know where to locate it. And to keep you in suspense I'm not telling what it consists of. So there! (Oh, honey, I know that you now know, but don't tell peoples should they ask, at least not for a while). But I have found online where I can order my saber from for the wedding and I plan on doing that.

After the wedding I will be making a nice mount for the saber and get a little brass thingie with my name and commissioning date engraved on it. So it will be proudly displayed. You will all get to see it, so don't worry at all.

My little WVU snowman found his way to work. He is happily part of my team. As I finally have my own work computer things are going quite well.

I do believe that this is about enough post for now, but I will post again later.

Monday, December 3, 2007

Hello

So let's just have a little weather discussion here. I have heard its snowing back there in the east. It snowed here... well, sorta. There was like 9 inches thanksgiving weekend in the mountain town that is only like 20 mins away. Sierra Blanca was snow capped over the weekend. I don't know about today, it was dark while I was traveling around, so I didn't see it. Today got up to about 60 something. This morning it was about 30. Oh, a few days back Taos had a high of 5 and a wind chill of -9. Saturday there was a snow storm warning for parts of the state. Moral of the story.... It can get cold here, very quickly.

So you all need to go and check out a youtube video. "E and Pi" If you don't get it, clearly you haven't had enough engineering in your life. Be afraid, I have many engineering friends now. Things could get dangerous.

So its December

I realize I haven't been posting much. Its been hectic and stressful here. UCI is this week. I haven't gotten much sleep. I am sore. This weekend hasn't really been relaxing. Next week is gonna be stressful.

Yes, I know your going to tell me I need to sleep. Yes, I know, trust me, I know. I want to sleep.

Any how, it seems December has sneaked up on me. So Merry December. Look for Christmas Cards

More Cardmess!

Dear Relative or Friend (You know who you are):

At this juncture in time I would like to pause from my normal routine of activities and extend this message to you.
I hope you enjoy this holiday season, in particular Christmas/Hanukkah/Festivus/Other. I would like to extend appropriate holiday wishes on this occasion. I further hope that your celebration is proper in accordance with tradition and carried out in a way fitting such a tradition. During this time of year I hope that we may all join together in non-offensive, completely sensitive gatherings. Perhaps we will be able to sing some politically correct songs of this time of the year.

With Regards:
Your Relative or Friend (Me)

You mean I can't say Chri*****? Who is offended by Chri*****?
You know, the ******* and the ******* and the atheists.
Time to be politically correct

I'm dreaming of a Caucasian Holiday.

Merry Cardmess!

So I know I haven't posted in several days. Fear not, I'm still here. Just busy at work and then when I get home I have stuff I am working on taking care of.

I am working on Christmas Cards.... and when writing Christmas cards one should be enjoying a glass of eggnog, so I am.

Blah to ESPN

So hello all. It would seem that part way through the 3rd quarter I got switched from the WVU game to the georgia game. I ended up watching the end of it on the game cast thing online. It sucks that they just decide, well, you don't wanna see any more of this game. But we won, 66-21, take that uconn. We are the Big East Champs now. And we could end up in the national title game. That would really be sweet.

Well, I have been around the apartment most of the day. I did more unpacking and putting stuff away. I need to put up my shelves, but I feel lazy and think I'll look into doing it tomorrow. More and more boxes are disappearing and things look like it is a real home which is nice. Now, if my knee didn't hurt so much things would be much better. But it does hurt, so oh well.

I'm gonna have to make another recycle run. Oh joy! But it gets stuff out of here. Plus I've been going through my stuffs, mostly my t-shirts and all and it looks like I'll be making a run to goodwill as well. And I've decided to sell my 64. So I'm working on getting rid of stuffs. However I'm also acquiring stuff, like my Christmas tree. So I think its mostly just a trade off. I've been finding various stuffs in these boxes I haven't seen for a while, like my diploma and my blue and gold Santa hat. however I have yet to find my foremen grill. I think that it is in one box that has some glasses in it that is waiting until the shelf in the dinning room is up.

Someone should send Stella out here.

I've Spruced up the Place!

Greetings Merry Blog-keteers! I hope you all had a festive Thanksgiving. Also I hope that you are prepared for a plethora of photos. There has been much a foot and so I am here to update all of you. As you can see, I have made progress in unpacking. I know that you are all impressed. Actually my office here is looking quite nice. I have my desktop set up, I have my router running and secured. I have my technical library. The closest is being a valuable storage area. And yes, part of it is functioning as a linen closest, since I don't have the real thing. I'm sure you noticed two things in the above picture. We shall see about addressing them in the two side pictures here. First off, on the left you will notice that I have hung some stuff up. I found my diploma and have proudly hung that up. Now I can bask in the amazingness there of. Also I have my commission up on the wall. Yup, thats the reason I'm in the desert right now. On the right, well I found that I do in fact have a little tree. While this tree does not satisfy my main tree needs, it does work well as a small tree to live in my office here. It is all festive. And yes, I have been listening to Christmas musics. Now then, lets move to the next room, my dinning room.

Ahh, here we see my dinning room. I'm not sure which way the table will be living, but for now it shall be like this. You can notice that I do have place mats, I'm cool like that. Also I have napkins. Its like I have a real home. I intend to put up some shelves on that back wall. That way I can put the nice glasses there, since I lack cabinet space to have them out. It also means that there is a nice display of them, or will be once I'm done. But yes, it is nice to be able to see my table.

And as you can see I have acquired my very own nativity set. I don't have some of the pieces I've grown use to. There is no world's fair camel. Snoopy is not there. I don't have an angel band suspended by fishing wire. But I do have a set, and that is a start, right? Oh, and while on the subject of Christmas decorations, I also got this fancy stocking set up. Now I realize that it is not my real stocking hanging there. However I have yet to stumble upon my stocking in all of the unpacking that is going on. But if anyone should notice my stocking, I would like to hear about it. But for the time being my stocking is hung with care. I don't have a fireplace, but I figured that this would be an adequate home for my stocking. Oh, and I have more good news!

As you will notice I no have a bed. I'm all excited. And actually I paid more for the frame then the box spring. Which I don't mind, cause I know that I will be getting the money back for the frame. I don't know that I will get the money for the box spring. I won't complain if I do, but you never know. So yes, I'm happy about having a bed. Yay! Actually, you can't really see it, but I do have more boxes piled up in the bedroom then you see in this picture. Plus I have various boards from my old bed set up. I'm not sure quite what to do with them just yet.

Oh, and while we are discusssing holiday decorations, I have a nice wreath on my door and I have some lights in my front window. So I am all festive! Hooray for Christmas times! Though I am still working on getting used to my desktop. I liked some of the buttons on my laptop. I had play buttons and such, plus volume control, which was a nice thing to have. But I suppose I shall adjust. Now then... have I forgotten to mention anything....Oh Yes!

My tree! I realize that it only has white lights on it right now, but I shall change that eventually. And you can't really see them well in this small picture, but I have blue and gold balls on there, and a blue point thing at the top. So goo WVU!! I have a very merry tree, I like it!

Let's Ponder...

Today we were outside, playing football. I was wearing a t-shirt. It is the day before thanksgiving. The weatherman says it may snow tomorrow.

I've basically been moving for a year now. Last thanksgiving I was finding a house out in Virginia. Then more unpacking there during Christmas break. Then I have to move back from college. Once that was unpacked it was time to move to the new house. After a while unpacking there I moved to New Mexico. Once again, boxes everywhere.

I'm tired, I feel it would be a good night to relax and kick back. For I like sleep.

Yes! 'Crisitunity!'

Hello out there in Blogland! I'm glad you have returned. Above you will see the wonder that was my living room earlier this morning. Actually my living room now looks quite livable. That is if you where to ignore the fact that you can see the dining area and that is still a bit of a mess. But speaking of the dinning area, I now have my table again. It looks really nice and its all set up and mostly covered with boxes of Stella's dishes. My dishes are in boxes in other parts of the house. Soon they will find a home in the cabinet and they can be referred to as our dishes. And while we are discussing the table, I did in fact have dinner at my dinner table. Which reminds me.... Do you know the one thing worse then going to the chow hall, seeing they had corn dogs for brunch and grabbing a couple, only to make it to your seat, take a bite and find it was not a corn dog, but a sausage wrapped in waffle (known as a jiffy). Well, what is worse is having a box of corn dogs, making corn dogs for dinner, only to find the last corn dog of dinner is in fact a jiffy!

So I have a few more pictures of the apartment with boxes all over, however the blog program is being fussy and not letting me upload any more pictures. So if you see more pictures in post then I got the thing to agree with me. I did manage to get all of my books on shelves. This leads me to know that I need more shelves. First off I have 2 that I don't really like, cause, well, they suck. Only one has books on it now. The other is holding board games and other such non book objects. And I have a bookshelf by my desk holding my technical library. Those are the only books that got sorted out. Eventually I will need to devise a system by which to organize the books here. Though there will be a need for more bookshelves when Stella gets here. So many books.

Hooray! The pictures are working again. Here is the laundry area. You can tell by the fact that that is the washer sitting right there. Impressive eh? Yeah, sure it is until you have to block yourself in behind the washer to get the hoses attached. And you have to change out plugs on the dryer so you can plug it in. But there is only a foot or so between the dryer hole and the wall hole. This should aid in the effectiveness of the dryer. This is a good thing. But yes, the washer and dryer are hooked up, they fit. All is good. I'm doing grand in the world, I am out of college and in my own place, I have a kitchen table, a washer, a dryer. Its the good life you know.

Now here is my office, or extra bedroom or whatever it is. It might have more boxes in it now. Or maybe they just got moved around. But it houses many boxes and various stuff. My backpacking pack is currently hanging in the closet. I think part of that closet is becoming a linen closet. I think it might be good to have one of them. Then I have to look through my closet. Most likely I will go through stuff again and drop stuff off at Goodwill. I am looking at stuff as I'm unpacking and thinking that I may be getting rid of some things. Like the 64. I mean, I like it, its fun. I just don't know that I'll actually play it or have room to really just have it sitting around. I am keeping the original Nintendo. That one is cool. Plus I have a drawer in the one bookcase that is next to the TV stand. So it has a home. And if you are curious the PS3 stays on one of the shelves in the TV stand and the direct TV thing is on the other self.

And here we have my room. Note the mattress on the floor back by the window. Yeah, so they decided to not bring the side rails of my bed. I have the ends, but not the sides. So I can't put it together, I can't actually sleep on my bed. But I can sleep on my mattress, which I suppose is a step closer. And it looks like I'll be getting a frame, and then probably a box spring and setting that up. So I will soon have a bed. And that will be nice. Plus I need to finish unpacking, but that will be a job for this weekend. As I get 4 days off and all. So life is good.

And in case you are wondering, I did get the web set up today. It was good. The movers came at 8, by 930 they were done all my stuffs was off the truck and they headed out. Started unpacking and then got a call from the internet people. I had an afternoon appointment, but they were running early and so they asked if they could stop by earlier. They came by and were done by 1030. I unpacked, had lunch, unpacked more and then got a call from the Direct TV guy. He was running early and so he came by and got that set up. So everything ran rather smooth today. This I am rather happy about.

Well, this weekend is Thanksgiving and such. I will be having Thanksgiving dinner with some of my Test Group buddies. I was invited to several other dinners and such, but I think that I'd enjoy this one most. Also it would seem that I have become part of the 746 Lt family. We have dinners out and for advent we will all be getting together on Sundays to have dinner. That way we can make sure no one is stuck home during the holidays. Because we have our family out here in the desert. As we are isolated from the real world and such.

I feel that this is enough of a post for now. I hope that you are all informed. Ta Ta....

Duffman can’t breathe! OH NO!

So greetings blog fans!

So life is going good. I am now have my most of my stuffs. Not all of my bed showed up. I shall have to look into fixing that. Or perhaps I will end up having to get a new frame. But then I might also need a boxspring. hmm....

Well, I'm not the newest Lt at the squadron. I have my interwebs set up. I am unpacking, except I'm taking a break for lunch right now. So I will enjoy that and then continue with the unpacking.

Go Banana!

Well it is another update for the day. Just a few little notes.

1) Direct TV is not coming today. Nor do I get to take advantage of the offer they had going to upgrade to HD for free. As it turns out the HD signal requires a different dish, a dish that is too heavy to be mounted on a tripod. And seeing as how I live in an apartment complex that requires dishes on a tripod, there will be no HD. They have rescheduled to Tuesday evening and I will be getting a regular size dish and receiver. Though I need to contact them again and see if I can get the DVR receiver for free....

2)Gila Monsters meant me at the airport. Sort of. The El Paso Airport has this nice carpet featuring Gila Monsters. I haven't spotted any real life gila monsters, but the carpet ones where there waiting for me.

3)Thank you all for the mail. I have gotten to read through it all. And I would like to thank everyone that chose to send me mail. I do hope that all the Halloween cards got to where they were headed. Due to travels and such it looks like I will not be sending out thanksgiving cards, but soon Christmas cards will be headed your way.

4) It is nice an warm here. To give you an idea of the weather that I get for this time of the year, when I woke up it was in the mid 30's. Today it will be in the 70's. That seems to be the trend for the upcoming week.

5) I suppose that soon I will need to look into Christmas shopping. If any of you have gift ideas for each other feel free to let me know. Also, from someone knowledgeable on the subject, I would like a prediction of Max's size. If I were to get him a t-shirt for Christmas, what size should I get?

6) On the subject of Christmas, since no one is coming to hook up my tv today I think that I will look into a Christmas tree to go with the ornament Stella said that she got.

7) You should all check out this here styling page!

8) Licking the end of a fountain pen does indeed make the ink flow better. And yes, I own a fountain pen and I use it to write letters.

Oh, those jazz guys are just making that stuff up!

Good News!! First off I'm back in the Land of Enchantment. I left Ohio is was like 30 degrees. Land and its about 70. Thats right, late November, 70 degrees, don't you wish you were here? Oh, but it gets nice and chilly and wintry in the mountain... the one that is like a half mile from my house. 20 minute drive and I'm in Cloudcroft. Nice little mountain village in a pine forest. So should I want winter I can go have winter there, then come home and put on a t shirt.

Also, WVU won. I know what your thinking, "Of course they won!! They are WVU!" and to that I have to say, Yes, yes they are. So all is good there.

Now then. It would seem that the Boy has had a flurry of blogging and seems like he might threaten the Skip for the 2nd place finish in the number of posts for November. And Skip, when you read this, that is sad. You are going to loss your birth month? Are you going to stand for that? But oh well. I will continue to keep on keeping on with the blogging, for life is a garden, dig it.

Today I will be finishing up my unpacking and such. I got a stack of mail, most of the letters I still need to read. But I would like to thank all of those of you who chose to send mail to me. It was good to come home to mail. I suppose that soon I will need to start looking into sending out Christmas cards. So a grand address list will need to be compiled and then stamps and such will need to be acquired. Luckily I know all about acquisition.

Also today I am getting the satellite hook up for my tv. As it stands I am a fan of satellites. They do much for me. And therefore I am against the Chinese and their missile. Luckily I know that we at least have a similar one that was designed if not build. But I do receive much info from satellites.

Also there is some basic organization that I need to work on today. Perhaps I will clean a bit. This Tuesday I get my stuffs delivered. So I will need to figure out where things are to be placed. Luckily I have a 4 day weekend coming up, so I have time to unpack and go through things. Also I need to purchase a Christmas tree. Then I will have to determine where to place it. Hmmm....

But for now I will leave you with a thought of mine during a conversation in Ohio. Time is in fact circular. We are all evolving into dinosaurs.

Unlike most of you, I am not a nut

Ladies and Gentlemen, behold! This is an acquisition badge. I happen to now own one. I am a qualified acquisition professional. An acquisition warrior if you will. My class is done, I have passed, I can now go home.
But first I've had most of today to goof off, which has been nice. Actually I had most of yesterday off, but yesterday I suppose I was suppose to study. I didn't study, but I did fine on my test. So all is well. And yes, I was once again in jewelry shops. But today I was with a friend, cause he was looking at diamonds. So I wasn't there doing my own research. But speaking of rings, go to Green Karat and click on custom rings, look at the one in the bottom right corner. Isn't it pretty?

Well, it is growing close to time for dinner. I suppose that I shall be needed to go. Oh, it was snowing here yesterday and it was cold today. I shall probably post again when I'm back at Alamo.

You can't keep blaming yourself. Just blame yourself once, and move on.

So Greetings and a very Merry and Festive celebration of the anniversary of the Birth of Skip!

I hope that you have all gone out and celebrated in the traditional fashion. I went out and had more Thai Food. But tonight I had the Japanese beer. In case any of you are considering Thai food, I would recommend the Pad Thai. It's noodles and some veggies and all, then you can add some meat to it. Also, note that Thai food can be spicy. Just so you are aware.
And just as a correction to a previous post, I hope all the families of the vets also had a good veteran's day. Hopefully you all enjoyed your weekend. As for me this will be a short week. As today we got out early, tomorrow is about a half day, friday is our last day and will be about a quarter day. Then I fly home saturday. Hooray!!
Well, I am just about done with The Time Machine. I know that it is just a short book, but I've been able to squeeze it in among studying and spending time with the guys and visitings on weekends. It is the second book that I will have finished while I am here. Next up is the Wolf of Wallstreet
Ho hum... I suppose that is enough for this post. I will post again. Do not worry.

To Start Press Any Key'. Where's the ANY key?

Good News! I made it back to Ohio with no problems. This is good. Now I can go to class tomorrow. I was able to visit the family and all which was good. But now I'm back in Ohio. But only for about a week more. Then its back to New Mexico. I will have a bit to do, then it shall be thanksgiving. And that means that I'll get to have time offs. Which will be nice. Mostly I'll probably be unpacking.
I would like to take this festive ocassion to wish a very merry Veteran's Day to all veterans who may be reading this. I realize that it is only Veteran's Day Observed, but still. Should you be reading this and you are not a Veteran, please disregard.
In the wonderful world of blogging... not much is going on. The Skip has been making a few posts, but due to her constraints she has not been posting so much. The Boy keeps up his normal pace. We have a new blogger though, my friend Ben.
So would it confuse people if I were to link to a different site for each letter of a word? I think that tonight I shall see about getting some reading done.

Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that’s even remotely true!

Greetings from Virginia! Yup, in my multi-state adventure I am currently in another state. I got to visit my family. Yesterday I was down at Vtech and saw the game and my brother. Which was good. The boy is doing well. The Hokies won even though they had some terrible calls against them. I'm sure if you saw it you would agree. More importantly WVU won their game. Also it would seem that Penn State won, so we're good all around.
It is good to be home and see everyone. And having a festive Skippy Birthday observed. I saw the little Max and while at first he didn't seem to happy to see me, after a while he was happy I was there and wanted to read books and watch tv. So it was fun. I got to play with the log splitter. Which I must say works much easier then swinging the sledge.
Well, I had an interesting time flying in, hopefully the flight out will go better. Ho Hum, I suppose I will post again at some other time.

I always say a boy can learn more at an airport than at any school.

Greetings from Dayton International Airport!

So is it just me or when you think international airport does anyone else think of a big airport like JFK or Heathrow or Ohare? It seems I have been traveling in and out of little international airports.
And just in case you were wondering, the current threat level is orange as I have been informed by the voice in the airport. Please take all necessary precautions.
And while there is wondering afoot... did anyone notice the links in the last post? They were a little hidden.
Also, I passed my second test and turned in my papers for the online course. Only one more test and its off a short week with a bunch of case studies which aren't tested. So all is going well. I can earn my badge and then go back home. Then I can deal with things like setting up TV and internets and all of these fun things.
Well, I suppose that it might be enough for this post. I should do a double check of my gate and such, but I still have time before I need to do things like board the aircraft.

May all your disgraces be private!

So happy Thursday evening to all you blog fans. I know you are sad that there is only one post today. Also I realize that the last few posts have been low tech. This is partly due to the fact that I don't have my pictures here, and I've been busy the past few nights. But this shall hopefully be a more funner post. Yes, more funner. Try not to let it warp your minds.

So then, on the home front.... I have a date set up for my household goods to be delivered. Direct tv is hooking up a dish for me, cause being out in the middle of no where I don't really pick up any channels clearly. I got through so I'll also be getting internet for my apartment. Which will be a nice thing to have. Though I'm thinking I'll have to empty some stuff out of my fridge. Like I think there is still a thing of milk in there.

I'm going home this weekend, which shall be grand. I get to see the family types and all. Also it would seem to look like I'll be going to see the boy and another vtech game. I have now learned of the hand turkey! So yes. Also we shall be having some sort of skip-tacular festival. It shall be grand. I believe that Mr. Kite guarantees a splendid time for all. Also it would seem that I shall be coming home with some stuffs. As my video game which I pre-ordered is here. Plus my free blu-rays showed up. Yay! Of course it means I shall have to do some updating once my other computer shows up. I have a database to think of, which I forgot to transfer to this computer. Oh well.

And as far as here, it seems to be getting colder. It precipitated on us the other day. It might have been freezing rain or little snow or ice or hail or something. But it was falling out of the sky and was not in a liquid form. I am finished with my online class that I had to take. Tomorrow I have test 2 in the class I'm here for, so I shall study again once I'm done writing this up. When I get back I shall have to look into the other classes I need for my level one certification, but its not a big rush, because to be certified I need to be in my job for about 18 months. But at the two year mark of this job I should be able to see about going for a project manager certification, perhaps I can convince the Air Force to pay for that test. Also I need to look into retesting for my Professional Engineering thing. This time I know that I should be taking the mechanical test, not the general engineering test. I mean really, bio questions? I took bio in high school! I don't deal with bio. I deal in air planes and calculus and the like. Oh well. I suppose this means an 8 hour test for that. Then probably an 8 hour test for the PMP cert. Luckily I don't have a long test for my APDP cert, just more classes. OOOO.... but AFIT has an online Systems engineering masters, something like 10 classes and then a thesis. Now it does cost some amount of money, but I've heard that I can get tuition assistance to pay for that. Now that could be a good deal. I feel that if I can get education and cert.s out of the air force it would be a good deal.

Alright Brain...Its all up to you

So a few quick notes.

I have reason to believe that the VOQ here is haunted. Luckily I have not gotten bed bugs yet.

Thai Food is good, a bit spicy though. Thai Beer isn't bad.

I rock.

That would be 3 posts in one day, just so you can all be informed.

Now I'm tired.

If he's so smart, then why is he dead?

So it would seem that since I don't like the Beatles as much as other people in my family I am not allowed to listen to them. Actually, I do like the Beatles, so mooo to all of you.

I believe its Wednesday and so I wish all of you a happy Wednesday. Working on getting everything that I need to do done. Like actually putting away my laundry stuffs. That way I can use that bag to go home this weekend. Because it is in fact a 3 day weekend and as such I'm going home. So hooray for going home! Plus it would be good to knock out a few more of these tests. I think that I can wrap up the online course tonight, which would be good. Hopefully tonight I can get to some reading as well. For reading would be good. In case anyone is interested I finished my Simpsons and science book and am now reading the Time Machine by H.G.Wells.

Then I have a test this Friday, which I'm not overly worried about. It will be nice though, since I won't have to worry about anything over the weekend. So I get to actually relax, which shall be nice. Anyhow, I need to knock these tests out, we're going out to get Thai this evening.

And now for something completely different....

The Beatles

I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.
See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly.
I'm crying.

Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come.
Corporation tee-shirt, stupid bloody Tuesday.
MAN, you been a naughty boy, you let your face grow long.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob

Mister City P'liceman sitting
Pretty little policemen in a row.
See how they fly like Lucy in the Sky, see how they run.
I'm crying.
I'm cry------------ing, I'm crying.

Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog's eye.
Crabalocker fishwife, pornographic priestess,
Boy, you been a naughty girl and you let your Knickers down.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob.

Sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun.
If the sun don't come, you get a tantrum
Standing in the English rain.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob, goo goo goo g'joob.

Expert texpert choking smokers,
Don't you think the joker laughs at you? (ho ho ho, he he he, ha ha ha)
See how they smile like pigs in a sty, see how they snide.
I'm crying.

Semolina Pilchard, climbing up the Eiffel Tower.
Elementary penguin singing Hare Krishna.
Man, you should have seen them kicking Edgar Allan Poe.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,

The strong must protect the sweet

Merry Monday Blog Fanatics and Bored People!

So it turned out to be a pretty good day. We had a test today, it was scheduled to take an hour and a half. I took 29 mins and then had an hour break. So that worked out well. Plus we ended up getting out of class about an hour early which was cool. I got back and got to make calls! Aren't people lucky? They get phone calls from me!
I figured out my electric bill and paid that. 25 bucks for the month, not even bad. Plus they finally cashed my rent check which is good. And while I'm at it I managed to get my delivery date set for my household goods. Turns out that the TMO office at Holloman has yet to answer their phones. But I talked to Colorado and they have me set up.
Oh, and I got to go to Fuddruckers today. T'was very good. Now, I actually need to do that laundry today. Never got to it yesterday and then I need to start on some of these little quiz things. Hopefully I can knock them out before heading home this weekend. That would be nice, epecially since this week's test is on Friday and their is a 3 day weekend. Oh, and I need to organize some musics....
Anyhow, I shall post again later. Now is time to try this productive thing out.

Sunday, November 4, 2007

Oh boy, sleep! That's where I'm a viking!

Merry November to all you blog fans!

Well, it would seem that we have come to a new month in the blogging and we shall have to boldly blog where no one has blogged before! Well, maybe not any one... but it sounds dramatic doesn't it?
So I'm still broadcasting from this remote location in Ohio. Except that there is more here at my remote location then there is back home. Stella came up for the weekend which was grand. She got to meet a few of the guys that I'm here with and we got to spend some time together. We got to see the Air Force Museum which was cool. Lots of airplanes and such. As of now I have seen all the aircraft that have dropped atomic weapons in aggression. Both of them. Also ended up seeing some movies. Saw American Gangster, which was cool and was a true story, which makes it even more cool. Also saw Across the Universe. It was a good movie and I would urge any Beatles fans out there to go forth and see it. However I do agree with Senor Forked that you do get the experience of being on way too many drugs at some points of the movie.
Well test 1 is tomorrow. I am not overly worried. It is all multi-choice and such. I'll be looking over the SOBs a bit later tonight, but I have some other things to deal with too. Like the thought of dinner. I would think dinner is a good thing. Plus laundry, I need to do some laundry. Oh, and the new Treehouse of Horror is this weekend! Hooray!
I am having fun out here and enjoying such. I shall post again later. I hope that this will satisfy a certain blogger who seemed upset that there had been no blogging as of yet this month.

hmm, they have the Internet on computers now...

So a little update, watch this here video. Around 51 seconds or so, you can then see number 72, which would be the boy.

No TV and no beer make Homer something something

Happy Halloween

So It is Halloween now. I hope that you all are going to enjoy it and such. I got out of class early and am still working on what the plan is for tonight. Also this is the last day of October, and i think that while the Skip tried I managed to pull out and have the most posts this month. Anyhow... It is time to be heading out, I might go ahead and post later, we'll see what is up.

Listen, you big, stupid space-creature. Nobody, but nobody, eats the Simpsons!

Welcome back!
So I am currently in Ohio for some training. We flew in yesterday and had an interesting dinner at Vietnamese place. I don't really know what they called what I had. It was some sort of a chicken dish. And then the lady put on a dvd of a chinese dance competion and told us much about oriental culture. And so it was an interesting night. Oh, and we got a dvd about china. It was odd.
Any how, we got into our place out here. Seems there is a good number from my squadron here. And today was my first day of class. All is well, looks like my weekends are getting lined up. Which is pretty cool.
And tonight was movie people, with a bunch of hokies it would seem. Any how, gotta meet people right? So I suppose there will be more posts tomorrow or at some point. I must do some studying! Oh no!! But I should be getting my badge at the end of this.

Saturday, October 27, 2007

That fool McGuckett sprayed runway foam all over Chuck Yeager's Acura!

Behold! Flightless birds, as per a skip request. Also a note in football, WVU won! YAY!! The other schools that we care about, at least someone, well, one didn't do so well and the other is looking like they are not doing so well.
I must finish laundry and packing, so I will probably not post till I'm in Ohio. So you can look forward to that.

To fly: the dream of man and flightless bird alike

So today I went to the Air Show and had to work. Lady's and Gentlemen, I give you spaceship one!
For those of you who read about the X prize cup and all might find this to be familiar. This odd looking thing does go up in space. It will be what Virgin Galactic will be based on. Speaking of which if someone wishes to book me on a trip on it, I will post pictures on here.
I saw some various X prize attempts today. I think they were for a moon based vechile. The attempt I remember called for the vechile to go up 50 meters, over 50 meters and be able to stay up for 90 seconds. Armadillo Aerospace came very close on one attempt that I watched. I would post a photo, but due to the distance we had to be and the fact I didn't have my zoom lens on the camera I don't really have any photos worth posting. However for your consideration I will post this here picture of a F-22.
Being an air show there was more then just space stuff. This is what I will be seeing in the air around here soon. It would seem that these are going to start being rotated in. Currently I get to watch F-117s and German Tornado's fly about.
I did see plenty of the German Air Force around which was cool. Also I got saluted a lot today. I blame this on being on main base in uniform. Usually I'm up at the Test Group and this sort of thing doesn't happen. But oh well.
I would be talking about football outcomes here, but seeing as how one team is not done yet I'll have to have a different time to discuss this.
So now it is time to look into packing and dinner and getting myself and the apartment ready for travel. So I hope all goes well. Also I have noticed something about all this blogging. The Skip and I are very close in the number of posts we have up, and I do my best to leave at least on comment on each of her posts and I tend to about the same from her. The boy on the other hand seems to wait on his posts until a number of comments have built up.

It tastes like burning!

Greetings Blog Fans and other assorted readers!

It is once again time for some blogging action. I feel it has been too soon since the last update to go over what everyone else is doing in the wide world of blogging. But there has been much talk of football. And I feel that I may be somewhat knowledgeable on this subject. So I'll put some info out there. Well the large birds seem to have lost their game last night. Also a certain blog has been rather pro-cat in her sport allegiance. But clearly one school is better then the others. I think we all know which school I refer to.

I have been watching some movies recently. Most notably I was watching 2001 the other night. I have to say it is a good movie. Now, some can find it a little dull, somewhat boring. I did the last time I tried to watch it. Several attempts all ended with me asleep before the monolith first showed up at the dawn of man. This movie is cool on many levels. First off it is very technically precise. Which is very cool to see. I realize that many young people have been skewed by today's movies which seem to be of a lower quality and more special effects. 2001 isn't clear cut for you. You have to think about it. Especially the end of the movie.

Also I have been motivated by the postcard quest of the Skip. Except my plan is a little more ambious. While the Skip hopes to recieve a post card from every state, I hope to visit all 50 states. At this point I have made it to about half. I'm not counting just being in an airport. Though for the purpose of this list driving through a state will be counted. So far I've hit:
Virginia
West Virginia
Ohio
Indiana
Illinois
Maryland
Delaware
Pennsylvania
New Jersey
New York
North Carolina
South Carolina
Georgia
Florida
Kentucky
Nashville
Missouri
Arkansas
Oklahoma
Kansas
Utah
New Mexico
Texas
DC (so its not a real state, eh)

So due to outtages of internet it has taken forever for this post to actually be able to be posted. I hope that all of you take this into account while viewing it.

I was saying "Boo-urns"

So then... this is a short update. For those of you who are wondering these are my boots. I never have to polish them. Ever. Next step is get the ABU's and never iron them, or put patches on them... and oh yeah, I like never wear blues. Life is good.
Next up the boy's game. It is near the end. It is close. I'm thinking the boy didn't get to play, but he still dressed.
While we wait, let us hum a little hum... Hum dum dee dum, I'm soo rumbly in my tumbly, Time to munch an early luncheon! Hum dee dee dum. Oh, I wouldn't climb this tree, if a Pooh flew like a bee, but I wouldn't be a bear then, so I guess I wouldn't care then. Bears love honey and I'm a Pooh bear, so I do care, so I'll climb there.
Oh and today was wallyball...

And it would seem that Vtech lost this one in the last minute. Grumble.

Uh, no, they’re saying “Boo-urns, Boo-urns.”

Greetings Blog Fans!! It would seem there is much amazing developments in the wide wide world of blogs! It would seem that a certain Skip is doing her best to keep up with me in the blogging. But there was a full length post out of the Boy. Still nothing out of our third blogger. So there you have it.
Well then, today's big news is that I got boots. My old boots have taken a beating and so I got new ones. I now have AF sage green suede boots. As they are authorized for me to wear with my BDU's I shall not have to shine my boots again. Hooray for this development.
I think someone has some kind of problem with my blog titles. In case you haven't noticed most of them are Simpsons quotes. I like them and will continue on with them. So nuts to any of you who are against these.
This weekend is the Air Show. Hooray!! Plus the X-cup prize stuff will be going on. If you don't know what it is I will make you research it on your own. I will be working a bit, but should have some time to wander about and check stuff out. I like air planes.....
Anyhow, I must be taking care of stuff around the apartment. So I will have to return later.

Remember Alf? Hes back! In pog form!

It would seem that Skip is doing her best to come up with more posts this month then me. However she does keep linking to me, so that is good. But oh well. And while we're on the subject of Skip, congrats on posting video. Very nicely done.
So I have been doing much in the way of classes and such. Learning all about GPS. Also I've been doing random other stuffs and getting ready to go to Ohio for more classes. It would seem that is what I do now, training and class.
Well, it seems that no one knew that my little brother was dressing for the game. Just in case you are wondering, I think they play thursday evening. I'm not sure who they play, my guess is another football team.
I think that this will just be a sort blurb. I must clean up a bit and run some errands. But feel free to comment and let me know what you would like to know about being out here in the desert.

My eyes… the goggles, they do nothing!

So for some football news. Despite no one feeling the urge to tell me I have learned that the boy (see photo[the two legged one, don't be confused]) will be dressing again for the Vtech game this weekend. Look for #72.
On the subject of football, here is a handy quote guide to make watching the game more fun.

If I could just say a few words, I'd be a better public speaker

Well now,
It seems it is time to update. Skippy is creeping up on me in posts this month and all. And the boy, despite his photo-less, color change-less, movie-less posts seems to get more comments. Very odd. I however am working to bring forth an interesting blog, which I'm sure grips your attention time and time again. At this point I will not provide a link to Gracie's blog, mostly because it remains empty. If you have a blog and wish for a link to it, please leave a comment on my blog, or email me.
And I'm sure you will be very happy to know that I am all kinds of legal. I know have a license with this address on it. Plus I got my voter registration card in the mail. So I can once again vote and shape this nation. I'm sure all of you are quite proud. I would urge all of you of proper age to vote. Vote early and vote often (but only as often as legally allowed, do not think that I am encouraging voter fraud. Thats bad).
As for the weather, which I'm sure some of you are curious about. I woke up this morning and it was 37 degrees out. I think it got up to the 60's or 70's today, but inside my building was still cold. Also it is dry. Now a dew point temperature is how cold it must be to get water out of the atmosphere. The more water there is floating about the higher the temperature. This morning's dew point was 16 degrees. Its dry out here....
Finally for this post we'll discuss my job. It is quite fun and I have been enjoying it. I am posting this informative video so you may all gain an insight into what I do while protecting this country. I would like to point out that no one has invaded the nation while I've been protecting it.

"There is soo much I don't know about quantum mechanics"

So I was out in Santa Fe yesterday. It was a nice trip. Went with services, however it was more time in a 15 passenger van. Also we managed to get lost a few times. We ended up driving out around in the desert for a while, then past the Santa Fe opera. Then we finally made it to the flea market. It was on Tesque Reservation and no cameras where allowed. Then we went into downtown Santa Fe, where cameras where allowed. So I have some pictures.

This is Santa Fe, atleast out in the old town area. There are a bunch of shops and such around the plaza area. Lots of arts/jewelery. I wandered around and picked up a few things. I'm sure that people will want to go up when they come out to visit. So I think I'll be going back.

This is actually the New Mexico museum of Art. But it looks very cool with the pueblo design and such. There are a bunch of buildings in Santa Fe which look like this, but I thought I'd put up this one picture so you could enjoy it.

This is Loretto Chapel. It is apparently somewhat famous, though I haven't researched alot of it yet. There was a wedding going on. Shortly after I took this picture the doors opened and the couple left the church, the theme from Star Wars was playing on the organ.

There was a mariachi band outside after the wedding. I thought I would take a picture and all. Lots of these around, there were some at the Fiesta in Alamogordo. Must have something to do with being close to Mexico.

There was something going on in the plaza. There were mines and mariachi bands and this monster thing. It was going up to people and messing with them. Overall it was quite a fun thing to watch.

Well, just as a side note the Santa Fe trail runs from St. Louis to Santa Fe. I think the route that I took to come out closely followed it, though I never went to Santa Fe, till now. I got a few things and such.
Also I sampled some more of the New Mexican cuisine. I had a fry bread taco with green chili sauce. I do like the green chili sauce, but I am not a fan of guacamole. I tried it again, still don't like it. I did have a margarita which worked well, it was good. Now I just need to figure out what a sopialla is.

Greetings! How goes it peoples? Any how, I thought that I would put up a few more pictures of the apartment, because I had heard I have only shown off my bathrooms. Well, at this point my bathrooms are the only part of the apartment that are actually completed. And I think my bathrooms look quite nice. Any how, onward we press.

This would be my bedroom, atleast for now. Well, it will be my bedroom, but soon I will get my stuff, and then I can set up my bed and such. But for now you can gaze upon my amazing air mattress!

Ahhh, my recliner. Yes, my recliner, its my apartment, my recliner, I get to sit in it! HAHAHAHA!!
Well, this is pretty much my living room. I know its a bit dark, but please see the next picture.

Oh look, the lights are on. Please notice I have a fan. Yes, my happy ceiling fan. Ok, so there isn't much in there yet.

Ahh, this is my kitchen. Yes, I realize that it is not as big as other kitchens. But I think it is bigger then my college kitchen, so I'm moving up in the world. Slowly but surely.

This would be the 2nd bedroom/office/storage or whatever else gets put in here. Please note my desk. It is the same desk that Stella, so at some point there will be 2 such desks in here. And perhaps a bed eventually.

Ok, so lets see, what else is happening. I evaded the burrito rustler today. I went to Taco John's and got a burrito! It was good. Also I've been stopping by mcdonald's a bit, but I have yet to win a million dollars. So if any of you have any of the little pieces and are not going to play the online game feel free to send them to me.
As far as work goes things are looking up. I've got email set up now, still no computer, but I have a phone. And I'm getting things in line. Looks like I'm going to Ohio for a class the end of the month for a while. Then in Jan I'll be out in Alabama. So I'll be there for my birthday, which kinda sucks, but oh well. Its better then them trying to send me in May. And I'm working on getting honeymoon stuff together.
I have been getting mail which is nice. Its good to finally have a place to live. There are mail and such going out. I am still working on getting stuff organized. But I do have recycle bins now. And I think I know where the recycle place is in town.
Oh, to add to my travels I shall be going to Santa Fe this weekend. So be on the look out for postcards and the like. Anyhow, I suppose that will be the end of the post for now. Look for more to come at some point. Oh, and just to be odd I played with the text colors for this post. In case you didn't notice.

Oh the huge manatee!!

Terrible, horrible news!!!!

My watch died. The watch I had through at least most of college if not high school died on me. The one that the band had disintegrated before. It is now gone. But I have a new one.

I'm Sorry, I was thinking about soup

Well here it is. A photo of my little brother dressed and on the field. He is number 72 there. Vtech did win that game, and by a bit too. Then again, it was Duke football, so its not all that amazing.

In other news I've been lazy this weekend, which I'm fine with. Tomorrow is back to work and PT. Tonight I think I'll be writing some letters and such. I've actually received mail here, so thank you for the letters. Also I'll finally get around to building that other bookcase. Then when I finally get a hold of TMO I can have bookshelves up to put books on, which might be a good thing. Though I need to find some media shelves.
And for anyone who is curious, yes, it is a dry heat. Its not as bad. But when its 90 out, it still feels kinda warm. However the temps are moving down into the low 80's and then the 70's so it will be alright.
I need to clean up my apartment and then do some laundry. I wonder where the laundry room is. Oh well, I'm sure I'll find it. And I'll post again later.

Ladies and gentlemen, Good News! My little brother (The one that is younger and actually a brother) will dress for the first time in the history of his football career at Vtech. In fact, I do build this is the first time he will dress for a game in all of recorded history, in case you were wondering. For those of you who are curious look here. Also check out the Vtech Duke game this saturday and cheer for #72.
In other news I have been going to work, which is nice. There are a bunch of new Lts so I am not the only new guy. I got an apartment, I have pictures in an earlier post. I've been doing a lot of work for inprocessing and getting ready for an inspection. Though I do get to see F-117s and T-38's fly about. Also I have seen some Q-4 drones and some Tornadoes.
Also on the subject of things I've seen. I have seen many a jackrabbit and even a tarnatula. But I have not seen any snakes, though apparently they live around where I work. For right now though I do believe its time to shower and then ponder dinner.
